Red face places to shoot while in Colorado Springs

I am planing a trip to Colorado Springs in late Feb to visit my uncle and get out to shoot. I'm trying to time the trip out with the the eagle migration so I am looking for best places to shoot the eagles and other wildlife with my digital camera. Are there any areas that you know of that will be open that time of year?

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Cherry Creek State Park is open in late Feb and it's a great spot to capture wildlife and hiking excursions. On good sunny days, you can expect to see lots of wildlife like eagles, white tail and mule deer bucks. This state park is bout 30-minutes drive north of Colorado Springs, and on clears day you'll be able to see Pike's Peak, Mount Evans and Long's Peak from one of several high spots. If it's a snowy day, then you'll have a good chance of getting close to hunting coyotes, etc.
