The Colorado Renaissance Festival 2007 begins tomorrow for those of you who are in Colorado, or more specifically, in the Larkspur area. It's a weekend event that goes from June 9th - July 29th. Here are the details:

Cost:
Adults - $17.95
Children - $8.00 *They must be 5-12 yrs old
Anyone under the age of 5 is FREE

You'll definitely want to keep this in mind if you're looking for something to do on the weekend. Summer's here and the days are definitely longer! The event has ample FREE parking. The festival will proceed rain or shine. Though, there is one downside for you animal lovers...they ask that you do not bring pets.

I also read somewhere that there are wedding packages! So if you're down to get married and want to take it back to the old days, or just love the time period, you may want to look into that.

"Return to the Past" - A Pirates Invasion
Yea, celebrate the weekend as a pirate and you may win the loot!

June 16/17
Royale Ale Festival - The Highland Games
This is Father's day weekend and large amounts of beer will be available for free sampling! There is a contest for the best man in tights..... G'luck!

June 23/24
Love and Romance
This is where many of the wedding ceremonies happen. You don't have to be married though. They have a board where you leave a message on the "Singles Message Board" and there's also a singles party!

June 30/July1
Wine Revelery
It's your chance to participate in the legendary grape stomp.

July 7/8
Children's weekend
Dress your children up as a prince, princess and pirate. Whatever you choose, there'll be special activities for all of the youngins.

July 14/15
Mardi Gras Carnivale
Fun fun fun. Experience and participate in carnivale as the noble. Throw on your fav mask and costume and have a good time!
