Hi there,

Breckenridge is probably one of the best places to water raft in the summer. The popularity of the place is due to its proximity to shops and attractions.

The Breckenridge area offers the choice of a number of rivers which caters for different levels:

* The Gore Canyon whitewater is fierce and adequate for professional rafters.

* The Royal Gorge features over ten miles of rapids such as Three Rocks, Spikebuck, Sunshine Falls, Sledgehammer, and Wallslammer.

* The scenic Upper C section and the whitewater of Shoshone Rapids near Glenwood Springs offer the ideal spots for beginners.

Another great place for beginners and intermediate white water rafting is:

* The Roaring Fork River in Aspen, which has a classification between 2 and 4 depending what stretch you are on.

* The Eagle River in the Vail Valley
