| Whether to go round the Lake and down to Canas and the InterAmericas or backtrack toward San Jose and down through San Ramon?...Which is quicker?....which is more scenic?...we will have traveled to Arenal from San Jose.....thanks, John H. |

| Will you have travelled to Arenal from San Jose by car? If so then I might opt for the "around the lake and down through Los Canas" route if only because it'll be new scenery. This is also assuming time isn't all *that* important to you, cause I'd think going down through San Ramon would be more direct and quicker. |

| how much time do you think it would take to go around vs. back tracking? I am going all the way to Dominical but I am thinking that I'd like to stay some place in between, but I want to avoid Jaco and Manuel Antonio (Crowds...). Know of any good spots along the way or even off the beaten path? |
