| I love Costa Rica... I was born in the refreshing and always calm San José( not really calm, but you get the point =)... I just wanted to stop by and let you guys know about this small hotel in Escazú: Costa Rica Hotel San Gildar Escazu (hotelsangildar.com) It is really comfy and it even has internet connectivity... So if you are transitioning to the awesome beaches, this info might come handy... Take care kids, Ciao. |

| Sounds like a nice area of Costa Rica. What are some of the main attractions around Escazu for people to do and see?

| Hi Administrator... Escazu is the safest and highest socio-economical level part of San Jose. People looking for awesome gourmet experiences and Americans moving to Costa Rica decide to stay here. (Even the American Ambassador's House is in Escazu). Costa Rica is well known for the beaches and for the Volcanoes, but once you are done and ready to go back home, normally you would spend a night or two in San Jose. Shopping, waiting for your plane, etc. I would recommend to always stay in Escazu while you are in San Jose. In my opinion the downtown is just too dangerous. Marriot and Inter-Continental have hotels in Escazu, not in the downtown area. Anyhow, I hope this info comes in handy... Ciao, Alex |

| Oh, by the way I forgot to tell you about the attractions and things you can do there: 1. You can Golf in Santa Ana. 2. You can shop at one of the biggest Malls in Costa Rica: Multiplaza Escazu. 3. If you are ready for some high-quality dinner : Ill Gatto. 4. And finally if you want to see all the lights of the San Jose city at once: Tiquicia Restaurant. (point view, restaurant and bar). Ciao. |
