Costa Rica

The diverse landscapes of Costa Rica allow for great outdoor activities like white water rafting and relaxing at the Tabacon Hot Springs. Explore the Arenal Volcano and view the fiery red glow from the summit. Drive to the Monte Verde Cloud Forest to see the exotic environment and pass through the city of La Fortuna.

Default Things to do in Costa Rica

Well... I would recommend the following:
1.TABACON Resort. This small hotel is located right next to the Arenal Volcano. Honestly, you don't want to miss the active Volcano at night! It is beautiful. It is a little bit more on the expensive side.
2. SkyAdventures. This is a company that took the canopy (zip lines) to the next level... they decided to send a line from one mountain to another (instead of from one tree to another). You will be traveling at 60kph... They are the most professional ones I have seen. You feel safe the entire time.

3. Manuel Antonio. If you are into hiking, white sand beaches and sightseeing... this is the place in Costa Rica; also it is located around 1 hour away from Jaco Beach, which is one of the most popular beaches in Latin America (sometimes called the South Beach of Central America).

4. If you need transition rooms while in San José, I either recommend Marriott Courtyard in Escazu or if you prefer a Costa Rican smaller hotel then Hotel San Gildar is a good choice(they have a nice restaurant-bar, pool and internet access for a reasonable price).

Finally go shopping to Moravia for some souvenirs to bring back (don´t buy them at the airport!).

IMPORTANT: While in San José, drive with your car windows closed and do not engage in conversations with the guys that ask for money ( One of this friends placed a kitchen knife next to my ribs and "invited" me to support him financially.)
