Exclamation Housing for the summer

My friend and I are looking to get away for the entire summer in Costa Rica near the west coast. I have been looking for places to live and have been having some trouble finding anything. Also, I was wondering if there would be jobs that I could apply for while I'm there to help pay my way while I'm there. The summer is coming soon and I need to find something fast. So please let me know. Thanks!

Default Re: Housing for the summer

Hi there,

San Jose city would be a great place to relocate. The reason I say this, it is because the cost of living is one of the cheapest in Latin America.

Food, entertainment, health care, etc is very affordable. Getting around in the city is inexpensive and buses only cost around 45 cents per trip.

I managed to find a few accommodations located in Sabanilla, San Pedro (around 15 minutes bus ride from San Jose). It is a two bedroom and rent is $400 per month for the two of you.

Some jobs I would suggest to do are: teaching English, being a tourist guide, working as receptionists in hotels, etc.

Other sources where you can look for jobs are the local newspapers such as The Tico Times or browse the main Spanish-language newspapers.

Hope this helps
