|  Buying travel insurance for Costa Rica I've being asked by my tour operator if I considered buying travel insurance for Costa Rica...what should I be looking for in the travel insurance package if i purchase one? |

|  Re: Buying travel insurance for Costa Rica hi there, Before you purchase travel insurance, check whether you're not covered under any of your other insurance policies. Most tour operators won't mention this, but most home and life insurance policies already cover a certain level of travel insurance. Also, you may find that your current health insurance policy covers you for certain overseas medical expenses. No matter what you do, I would encourage you to purchase travel insurance as you'll be covered in the event of an accident, baggage loss, etc. Hope this helps Vacationbuddy
