hi there,

New Year’s Eve in Stradun in Dubrovnik is one of the best places to be in Croatia for the New Year’s celebrations.

The Carnival in Rijeka in February or early March is one of the best places in Croatia to experience the Carnival celebrations.

The Croatia Boat Festival and the International Flower Festival in Split in April and May are also popular events if you travel in the spring.

Hope this helps

Hello,

Well I know about all events in the city of Dubrovnik:

In February you have Festivity of St. Blaise which is very popular in Dubrovnik and that day Stradun (main streen in Dubrovnik Old Town is fully of people).

In February you also have a Carnival in Dubrovnik, that is also really great and if you are maybe here in that period if the year you definitely do not want to miss it.

During the May and June you can enjoy in Musica Eterna or in Libertas film festival.

In July there is the most popular festivity in Dubrovnik, popular in the whole world- Dubrovnik summer festival. It last for a month and is really unforgettable experiance.

During the Festival the whole city of Dubrovnik is a big stage where top national and foreign artists carry out the plays and musical works of important national and international writers and composers.

In September you can enjoy in Urban culture festival, Julian Rachlin& friends and Dubrovnik early music festival.

Then in December comes a Christmas time and New year evening. Christmas time begins on Saint Lucy day 13.12. Christmas in Dubrovnik is really special experience which you cannot have anywhere else. The whole City is tasselled, decorated and really amazing.

The most gorgeous feeling create decorated City Walls which, like in some ferry tale, take you to the past, to far history and return you to Renaissance Dubrovnik.

There is also one great 3 day festival on the Island of Rab called Rapska Fjera - medieval festival.

-Unique in Croatia, the mediaeval summer fair called the Rabska Fjera was first proclaimed on 21st July 1364 and revived in 2002 as a town holiday, and its greatest role is in safeguarding and developing local and traditional values.

The Rabske ferije municipal holidays were proclaimed by the Great Council of the Town of Rab on 21st of July 1364 in honour of King Ljudevit the Great, who liberated Rab from the Venetians, and in honour of St Christopher, patron of the town of Rab, and his powers, which according to legend saved Rab.

Participants of the Rabska Fjera are artisans and craftsmen on the island of Rab who make a livelihood from crafts which existed and provided a living for people in the Middle Ages.

There are also clubs and societies which voluntarily keep alive traditional crafts, cultivate traditional values, make home-made products and help preserve a way of life.

The revived Rabske Fjere are held in a shortened form and last three days: 25th July, (St James’ Day), 26th July (St Anne's Day) and 27th of July (St Christopher's Day), between 9 p.m. and half past midnight.

Cheers
