Travel to Cuba

Hi, I’m trying to figure out about traveling from Mexico to la isla. I’m inquiring on behalf of a friend who is Cuban-American
In the past I heard this was done through Mexicana, but I’ve had a lot of trouble contacting them.
Does anybody else have any ideas?
Also, I’ve heard that agencies in Florida are dropping some flights to the island. I’m wondering what Cuban-Americans are doing to get back to their home country.
Please advise.

With Barack Obama heading to the White House, there is a growing buzz among Cuban-Americans and across the country that the relation between the US and Cuba could change for the better allowing unlimited family travel and remittances to the island.

Go through Divermex and book a flight with Cubana airlines which will cost you around 257 USD

There is no shortage of means to get in la isla. The best way I like to see this island is to rent a golf cart for the day and roam around. Chichen Itza and El Parillo are must to see places. Really a nice place to visit.
