shopping in Cuba

hello,

we're traveling to Cuba for the 1st time and i was wondering what to expect when I get there, in terms of shopping in Cuba?

any ideas?

hi there,

If you are looking to go shopping in Cuba, the best Cuban stores are found in Havana and this is where you find the more upscale shopping choices.

In Havana, the Real Fábrica de Tabacos Partagás is an example of kind of Cuban cigar factory where you can find the real thing.

Avoid buying Cuban cigars in the street, as you might be getting a very sub-par smoke.

Cuban rum is also something you might pick up while shopping in Havana. Bacardi is surely a notable choice, as is Havana Club, while those who are in the know tend to prefer a 7-year Varadero brand offering.

Not a lot to be honest. Some local products to keep as trinkets but international products are so expensive and out of date. Just try to enjoy the other parts of Cuba i.e. the beach.
