Cyprus airport transportation

we'll be jetting down to Cyprus this August and we're quite excited! I was wondering about Cyprus airport transportation options apart from the airport shuttles. Any ideas?

the two main airports in Cyprus are the Lanarca and Paphos airports, both offering shuttles, airport taxis, buses and car rental options.

The airport shuttle is not free but it's the cheapest mode of airport transportation here, and I would suggest it unless you're want to rent a car.

On thing though, if you renting a car there, remember that drivers in Cyprus drive on the left side of the road.

Has anyone used the airport shuttle system ? What are your comments ?Where in Nicosia does it drop off? how far to Ledra Palace crossing? do you have to book/pay before use?

Im assuming you mean the airport shuttle between Larnaca to Nicosia? If so, I had a look on the Tourist Information Office in Nicosia and checked out the timetable of the Kapnos Airport Shuttle service.

It looks like buses run from Nicosia to Larnaca Airport every 2 hours, every half hour and cost about 16 Euros round trip.

The drop off and pick up point in Nicosia is at the International Conference Centre, Aglantzias just off the end of the A1 near the Cyprus Hilton Hotel, about 10 minute taxi ride from Ledra Palace crossing.

There is Travel Express service (tel. +357 777 77474) that can take you from the airport, you just have to call them beforehand. The price is 13 euros one way. I used it last month. They have stops in all major cities.
