vacation in Delaware this summer

I am looking to plan a vacation to the Delaware this summer, though I do not know the area at all and we just want to try a vacation somewhere where we haven't been before.

That being said, to all you Delaware experts out there, what are the best areas to stay and play. I would like to stay near/on the beach, close to fun things to do, etc. Also, would you recommend staying at hotel or renting a condo/house?

Yes, Delaware beaches are mostly family friendly and great to visit in the summer. Rehoboth Beach is a big spot families and you will love it here since the town has many restaurants and shops all throughout.

Rehoboth Beach town also has a great boardwalk with different arcades, games, and small amusement park with rides that I think would be good for the little ones.

By the way, did I mention that there is no sales tax? and, shopping in Rehoboth is great since the beach town has a huge number of outlest stores.

Do bear in mind though that Rehoboth Beach can get a little crowded in the summer, though it's really a blast being here in the summer because of the outdoor free concerts right by the boardwalk.
