Camping in Delaware

hi, considering a Delaware camping and looking for a good idea. my little son do not want a place without water, so need to camp in a swimming area, is Cape Henlopen State Park a good option?please give more suggestions..

We had tent camping at the pine covered dunes of Cape Henlopen State Park twice during our Delaware vacation. The park area was wonderful and well kept for camping. We rented fishing poles on the Pier and did few hours of fishing. We caught nearly 8 fish and enjoyed the day. The weather was little bit cold but nice. There are over 150 campsites available in Cape Henlopen State Park and most of the campsites have running water. Camping is available from early March through November end,so choose one among them and enjoy your vacation at Delaware. sounds good, do you know the cost of admission for family sites with hookup? thanks again - richards

I heard that for Delaware resident the cost is $28 per night and for non-residents the cost would be $32 per night. however when planning your visit just call the Park office and check with them for campsite availability Richards.

Cape henelopen is awsome as well as Indian river inlet, Indian river has hook ups for electric and sewer,
Also trap pond state park is great! U wont be dissapointed with any of these. The beach is a pretty good hike at the cape.
