| Hoping that someone here can help with advance info for an airport transfer from incoming flight at CPH to train from the airport to Aarhus. We arrive at about 12:30 pm and have reservations through a Danish friend on a 13:40 train to Aarhus. Does that seem sufficient time to get luggage, clear customs, pick up the ticket and make the train? Any special notes on things to help speed along are appreciated. Have never been to CPH before. |

| hi there, If you're traveling to CPH for the first time, the Copenhagen Airport (CPH) is the largest airport in Scandinavia and the main entrance for airplanes not only for Copenhagen and Denmark but also for the southern part of Sweden. - When you arrive at CPH, the exit sign are hard to find so follow the Baggage Claim signs to find it. - When it comes to Passport control, Denmark is part of the Schengen agreement which makes it possible for people to travel in Europe without showing passport every time they cross a border. For this reason the airport is divided into a Schengen area and a non-Schengen which are separated by a Schengen passport control. If you leaving with a flight to a non-Schengen destination it is important to have extra time after the security check because there might be a queue at the passport control when you later need to enter the non-Schengen area. In all, it should enough time to clear all the controls in my opinion, but it seems like a close call. Hope this helps Vacationbuddy

| Thanks VacationBuddy... that helps. Wasn't clear on one point... we'll be arriving by plane from Amsterdam, then leaving by train for Aarhus. So we'll scurry along (on Sunday mid-day) to get through customs, claim baggage, pick up tickets, and get to the train. We arrive in the "2" area on KLM and from the airport map that seems close to the train departure point. But we will not plan to sight see and will take your advice re the signage. |
