Default Re: best time to visit ecuador

Between December and April, you'll find that the weather in Ecuador is the hottest and most humid of the year, so you can easily expect temps in the low 90's during the day and high 70's during the night. Also, expect a lot of rain during these months.

May and November are the best months to visit Ecuador, and even locals say that these months are the best, especially along the northern Pacific coast. You'll find a little cooler temps and less rain and humidity, though remember, it'll still be fairly hot!

Default visiting the Galapagos in September

the best time to go to Ecuador depends on what areas you're planning to visit. the galapagos? the amazon areas?

I can tell you that the Galapagos in September isn't best water activities. I visited this area last year, and the waters were rather choppy, especially on the open-sea crossings to Genovesa and Espanola.

If you're prone to motion sickness, bring sickness pills because you will need them. If you plan to snorkel, bring a wet suit as waters are a bit chilly.

The good points about traveling in September is that the humidity is low; there is no insects and there are hardly any crowds.
