how expensive is Ecuador?

We've never been to Ecuador before and I was wondering if Ecuador is as cheap as other Latin American countries. How much would a camera cost over there?

It depends what you mean by expensive. I find that what is expensive for one may seem affordable or cheap to another. It is posible to travel Ecuador and anywhere in the world for that matter affordable as long as you are willing to save and budget your money.

When it comes to electronics, I recommend that you buy them at home online as you will find that they'll be cheaper. Food, accommodation and transportation will be cheaper than at home but as I said, keep control of your budget and you won't have to worry about how expensive a place is=)
