Cuenca Ecuador

Hi guys,h as anyone been to Ecuador? We are traveling to Cuenca for the first time and we are thinking about safety, carrying valuables. What would you advise? Also, could you recommend some accommodations please? Thanks

Hi there,

Some travel tips and precautions you should take abroad are:

* Photocopy important documents such as passports, flight tickets, etc

* Assess the place and get a feel of the location.

* Know the Ecuadorian laws and what is legal and what is not.

* Split your spending money amongst yourselves, and consider carrying traveler checks.

* Stick to busy well lit areas at night.

* Do not hitchhike and drive only during the day.

* Do not let your bags out of your sight while traveling from place to place.
