Hi there,

Ecuador will offer you a quality of life that's hard to beat anywhere else in the world. In the major cities like Quito, Guayaquil, and Cuenca, you can enjoy all of the Western conveniences you are accustomed to.

Ecuador has excellent medical care and the average visit to the doctor's office costs just $20. Living costs are very low allowing expats to live on very little. In fact, some expats use the low cost of living as a means to enhance their lifestyle and some of them own a few homes.

Hope this helps

I would seriously recommend that you spend some time there before you lock into anything lpermanent or long term. It is a wonderful place and the life style is very simplistic and basic, You will do without many items that you are currently used to. Almost anything can be found there, but of course there will be a price to be considered. It will not be everyones 'cup of tea' so to speak. Try it for six months and see how it works out for you.
