Default Galapagos + Wet Suits

Hi...me again. I'm looking into heading out to the Galapagos on a cruise. Many have recommended to bring my own wet suit or something similar because the cruiseship may charge per daily use. Does anyone know if bringing my own suit is necessary or if it's really that cold?

I've dove in the Galapagos with a wetsuit and recommend that you have one.
Here's a photo http://www.destination360.com/south-...gos-diving.php at about 30ft of my dive partner and you can see his suit. This depth was not all that cold but for any lenght of time I'd recommend one.

Ann,
If you’re not planning on bringing your own wet suit you my want to contact the cruise line not only to find out rental rates but also to verify that they have an ample supply and most importantly your size. It would suck to get there and not have one that fits.

Good point TG. Oddsizes can be probematic or you may be fighting the other size 2 on the ship for it.

That happened to me one time (not the Galapagos, and definitely NOT a size 2), but being the swell guy I am, I conceded and missed out on the diving. Lesson: Either bring your own or make sure you'll be supplied beforehand.
