|  Things to avoid in Ecuador hey guys, A bunch of us are just booking a trip to Ecuador, and I wanted to find out what things to avoid in Ecuador once we get there...any ideas? thanks! |

|  Re: Things to avoid in Ecuador hi there, Since you're traveling in a group, your personal safety is taking care of. However, at night, stick to busy well-lit streets even in a group. Regarding valuables, bring as little with you as possible. Keep your cash, cards, and papers in a money belt, especially in large cities. And don't let your bags out of your sight while traveling from place to place. Also, you are required by Ecuadorian law to show a vaccination certificate for yellow fever. Also, make sure you're up to date on your other vaccinations and boosters. Lastly, tap water is unsafe to drink, so purchase bottled water and sealed soft drinks.
