things to do in Memphis Egypt

hey guys,

I am not sure whether to add Memphis Egypt to our itinerary or not..how far is it from Cairo and what things to do in Memphis Egypt or nearby is there to do? any ideas guys?

hi there,

Memphis Egypt is just 12 miles from Cairo but in the city itself there is not much to see. However, around the village of Mit Rahina you can see the remains of a temple dedicated to the pagan god Ptah and a four-meter alabaster statue of Ramesses II.

Another popular thing to do in Memphis Egypt is to the Saqqara, where you can find Egypt’s iconic Pyramid of Djoser, which is one of the most astounding things you will see in Egypt.

Overall, I would definitely add Memphis to the itinerary as it is only a short drive from the capital Cairo.
