I would like to know if there are any people out there that would like to pull up their stakes and start anew - with me. I am 27 years old(male), from NJ, and looking to leave on a true back-to-life adventure sometime after the month of October. This is not a vacation. this is grassroots backpacking. This is the long-term. This is all about fun and rediscovering what being alive is supposed to mean..A trip back in time to childhood..if only the mindstate. All naysayers and detractors please keep out of my thread. I'm a grown man and not a sheltered person; I will do fine. please contact me if you are interested. this is going to cover the gamut of the U.S. and then eventually we will plan for something abroad. This is isn't about money so don't worry if you don't have any. Just bring what you can. This is about friendship and sucking the marrow out of life.

Any interested parties must be physically fit. No exceptions. It's going to be tough at times, but that's the nature of he beast...that's an aspect that is necessary. There is no specific itinerary. We will start out for a destination and ad-lib once we get there. Do not bother with this if you have responsibilities at home or are locked into a career or have anything to tie you down or will need to get back to soon. This is about finding all of that..during the journey.

I am a true friend...the rarest of gems...and I'm looking for the same. i want to share this sojourn with a few very special people. i want to look back on my life and know that i had lived it to it's utmost potential. I fear I am guilty of a wasted life for many years previous. that is coming to an end while there is still time. I won't lament about not being 21 anymore, but my life experience will serve me well on my travels. this is not a 'trip'. this is a life change. I love you all. you can't live your life in fear. That is not living. That is dying my friends. -Fyre

Do you have some ideas for cool stuff and restaurants to do in Orlando other than Disney? We are Disneyed out and looking for other interesting stuff to try.

For instance, we love Old Town and other local stuff like that. We usually walk Celebration sna see a movie there too, but the town can be kind of creepy....

Could use suggestions....

I like it because it is relatively calm since it's on the gulf side. Close to Busch Gardens, TB Devil Rays if you want to do a ball game. Just an ice area with good restaurants and a variety of price ranges. Disney is also manageable from there. Have Fun!

This was one of the most unforgettable vacations we have ever been on. The staff was incredible especially ZsaZsa who was always there. She absolutely goes out of her way to make sure that everything you need you have and that you are completely satisfied!!! She made our vacations by far. The bartenders were great they kept the drinks flowing and remembered what you wanted at all times. The cleaning staff is great cleaning your rooms 2 times a day. All I can say is it was worth every single penny that I spend. !!! Will be back without a doubt.

We are planning a vacation this summer with 2 other couples and was looking for a house somewhere in the panhandle of Florida are maybe a little futher. We are not sure of what beaches are nice and kid friendly. It will be 3 couples with kids ages 10 and younger. We were looking for a house with a private pool and not too far from the beach. We were planning on going in July so we wanted to rent something soon. I would appreciate any feedback we can get with a great area to stay are if you have any suggestion on a house rental. Thanks in advance.

We are thinking of traveling to the keys "for the first time" and have a pretty flexible schedule. What is the best time of the year to travel to the Keys? We were thinking of flying into Miami and driving down. But then also my wife would like to take our daughter to Orlando. I requested only a couple days pleaseee..

If you were a first timer to Florida and had to see Disneyworld and wanted to go to the keys what would you do? any other destinations between here and there?

Thanks,
