Teens want to obviously shop, wishing to visit the Whitehouse and also the Space Centre.

Our biggest worry is safety. We would like to stay on the suburbs (somewhere leafy!) in a house of some sort as we wish to self cater.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. We will have a car so traveling round is not a problem.

Also can anyone recommend any outlet malls/villages we could visit - teens love Hollister and Abercrombie and Fitch. Two year ago I rented a mid-size car for 2 weeks for about $280 including all taxes & fees. Now it's over $400. I have always been able to get a good rate with a little research, but not now.
