One of my biggest pet peeves is when a man has a piece of luggage that looks like trash with wheels. Please throw that in the can and buy a real piece of luggage and stop having your smelly piece touch mine. Just go out and buy samsonite or a travelpro just get something that is presentable. I don't care if you have a patch of every country in africa buy a nice piece!

I would like to draw attention to saving some money and time in the planning period of your vacation and travels. Most of my relatives live in 4 countries, and it requires both time consuming planning to see them as I have to pay attention to prices... I travel several times a year and I realized that search engines are pretty cool for this purpose. They look through numerous airlines, travel agency offers etc. and provide you with an overview of options you can choose from and you don´t have to go through them one by one and spend hours online looking for a cheap flight.

Well hopefully this was helpful ....

Compilation of Tips on How to Sell your Timeshare

Upfront Fees

Upfront Fees

To start with, old-timers of Timeshare owners know this most important rule: Never pay an up-front fee in an effort to sell your Timeshare! Either if the fee has been called in many terms such as: appraisal fee, market analysis fee, marketing fee, advertising fee or even new “fee” terms not been heard in the timeshare trading market, I tell you, all the results turned out historically bad ever since.

Mostly, these companies do it through cold-calls and that is one important tip that you must remember.

There are times that you may have faith in the credibility of the company and he has a legitimate buyer or even a list of several buyers that are waiting to do a deposit on your week. That the company needs is a small hundred of pounds as a deposit from you and that it is refundable. Even if that the company does have a money back guarantee scheme.

Once you fall into this trap and your money is deposited in these companies, then wave goodbye to your hard earned money. Even after going through all the efforts of trying to contact these companies and despite guarantees or promises they told you, the bottom line is that you won't get your money back. Never bother complaining to them, it will be just a waste of your time.

Timeshare Appraisal

Now, the tip here is that try to be as realistic as you can be you’re your price if you plan to advertise this online or through media (newspapers, tv ad). What you should know is that timeshares being sold in a resale market will have a par value of only 10%-30% of the price when you bought it with your developer. Please don’t be shock by this realistic figure coz it’s true.

One more thing to consider is that there are lots of multiple listings for the same or similar timeshares throughout the web and buyers do know where to find these listings and tends to buy the one listed with the lowest bid price. So if you plan to list your timeshare week, do it with the low price scheme. Or else expect then that your week will be in that listing for a period of time.

Online and Offline Advertising

One great move is to advertise your timeshare offline and online. Meaning, advertising through your local town through fliers, newspaper ads, radio or TV and inform friends, colleagues and other networks that you may have about your timeshare and give them commissions. While doing online advertising is visit websites that offers free timeshare resale services that you can advertise for free or for a low cost (e.g. Timeshare’s Largest Multiply Listing Service, e-Bay).

Selling Price vs. Timeshare Loan

Does your timeshare have an outstanding loan? To tell you frankly, there are a few potential buyers that will be having an interest in buying timeshares that has a loan on it.

The best way to deal with this is to consider refinancing your loan. Getting a financial institution that offers a low interest rate with a monthly payment plan that will not hurt your budget. Other ways that may save your timeshare is to get a home mortgage refinancing scheme or open up a home equity loan that will help you pay that timeshare loan with high interest rates. Solving this problem will increase the marketable price of your timeshare.

Buyers Need Accurate Information

When the time comes and you have been receiving calls and emails from prospective buyers. Be prompt in replying through those email messages and practice courtesy with all your calls, to be able to be considered for a successful purchase of your timeshare. One more thing to consider is to have a reasonable counter offer once a buyer offers less than what you have offered.

Accurate information from your advertisements and online postings are also a measure of your credibility as a seller. Providing wrong information from what they actually read and what you are telling them will be a disaster of losing a prospective client. In short, nobody wants to deal with sellers who are not consistent with their information especially with your Timeshare week details.

Handling your Positive Buyer

In the event that you and your buyer is in the closing stage, my tip is that every little detail of the Timeshare sale is indicated in black and white or in a contract such as ownership transfer and payment terms. Getting some assistance from a lawyer of an online Timeshare consultant will even make the transaction smoother and eradicate further hassles in selling your Timeshare.

Donate your Timeshare

In the event that after doing all the necessary tips indicated in this article and still there has been no success in selling your timeshare then the last option to do is to donate your timeshare and make a tax deduction claim for it.

Mekong Delta provinces to join hands in developing tourism

Mekong Delta provinces would focus on developing a sustainable tourism industry by offering diverse and quality products, the Mekong Tourism...

Mekong Delta provinces would focus on developing a sustainable tourism industry by offering diverse and quality products, the Mekong Tourism Association said. It encouraged travel companies to set up tours that involve the community, especially local residents, in tourism activities, generating incomes for them, and avoid overlapping products or unhealthy competition with one another, it said.

Kien Giang and An Giang provinces and Can Tho City have set up a "Co-operation programme to develop the tourism industry through 2010" to exploit the region’s key travel triangle.

Vinh Long Province is working with Can Tho to promote ecotourism, cultural and historical tourism, and home stay tours.

The travel sector in the region has also established ties with HCM City-based tourism companies to organise waterway tours and other products pertaining to summer, weekend, discovery, business, and recreational tours.

Authorities have spent around VND98 billion (US$5.3 million) to upgrade some 50 tourism sites in the region to attract more tourists.

Can Tho, for instance, has invested VND16.6 billion in its transport infrastructure and restore the century-old Binh Thuy house, a major attraction and recently declared a national relic, at Binh Thuy tourism village.

It has also upgraded national tourist attractions along the Hau River.

Improving the skills of people working in the tourism industry is also a factor authorities are focusing on.

The delta has huge potential for tourism development with its myriad attractive destinations like Tram Chim National Park I in Dong Thap Province, U Minh Forest in Ca Mau Province, and floating market and fruit orchards in Can Tho.

Phu Quoc Island and An Giang Province’s That Son and Sap mountains also attracted many visitors.

Types of visa to Vietnam

Tourist visa: (short staying time) It's what you need to enter Vietnam! Available one-month single-entry visa (stay in Vietnam maximum one month)....

Tourist visa: (short staying time) It's what you need to enter Vietnam! Available one-month single-entry visa (stay in Vietnam maximum one month). Tourist visa may be extended one time for 30 days after your arrival in Vietnam. If you plan to spend more than one month in Vietnam, or if you plan to exit Vietnam and re-enter from Cambodia, Laos or China, you will need a one-month or three-month multiple-entry visa with the approval from local agents.

Business Visas: Business visa is usually valid for three or six months, allow single entry or multiple entries and the right to work. Getting a business visa has now become cheap and easy, although prices are about double those of a tourist visa. It is generally easier to apply for a business visa once in Vietnam, after having arrived on a tourist visa.

Student visas: A student visa is usually arranged after your arrival. It's acceptable to enter Vietnam on a tourist visa, enrol in a Vietnamese language course and then apply at the immigration police for a change in status. In reality, the easiest way to do it is to contact a travel company and have them help you make the application.

Visa Extensions:If you've got the dollars, they've got the rubber stamp. Tourist-visa extensions cost as little US$10, but it is easier to pay more and sort this out through a travel agency. Getting the stamp yourself can be a bureaucratic nightmare. The procedure takes two or three days and you can only extend one time for 30 days. In theory you should be able to extend your visa in any provincial capital. In practice it goes smoothest in major cities, such as HCMC, Hanoi, Danang and Hue, which cater to mass tourism.

Re-Entry Visas:It's possible to enter Cambodia, Laos or any other country from Vietnam and then re- enter without having to apply for another visa. However, you must apply for a re-entry visa before you leave Vietnam. If you do not have a re-entry visa, you will have to go through the whole Vietnamese visa nonsense again. Re-entry visas are easiest to arrange in Hanoi or HCMC, but you will almost certainly have to ask a travel agent to do the paperwork for you. Travel agents charge about US$25 for this service and can complete the procedure in a day or two.

Check out Optifly, the newest flight planning tool. It's great for experienced travelers and those looking for cheap international flights. They return all of the low cost carriers that the big name booking sites do not (Southwest, RyanAir, AirAsia) and they even allow you to check against Expedia prices.

Instead of wasting time paging through other travel sites searching for the right flight with the right price, Optifly immediately shows you all route possibilities and all carriers that fly each specific leg of a route. Having this insight allows you to purchase low cost carrier tickets when available, and to use other methods (lower prices booking sites like Priceline/Orbitz/Expedia) for the rest.

The best part of Optifly is their visualization, which maps your routes in Google maps so you can SEE where you're going. It's great for picking the most direct flight options and ruling out out-of-the-way connection locations.

They even have info for every connection city in the world, including weather data & links to passport info & travel guides!!!

Go to Optifly.com to see for yourself!
