secret for cheap airfare

is there a secret for cheap airfare?.. I'm trying to book a flight next October and they're all like $400 from Florida to New Hampshire... thats nuts! A year in advance?

I've heard that if you book it up to 2 weeks in advance its cheaper. Is that true? Whats the secret thats being kept from me?

I see your frustration. There isn't really an incentive for booking a year in advance as the airfare price won't change much.

To be honest, the bargains can occur at any time for any number of reasons such as sales to compete with other airline promotions.

Best wait 2 weeks before booking, or book at least a month in advance if you don't want to chance not getting a seat though.

Other secrets for cheap airfare include checking with travel agencies and ebay type sites for people selling transferrable vouchers or coupons for less than face value.
