| Disney resort hotels are pricey, even more so during the Christmas holidays but I think is worth it if you want to enjoy the whole experience. Around $300 a night would be the norm for a three star hotel on a Disney World Resort, though it's true you can get a 4 star hotel for $80.00 a night in Downtown Disney so, I see your point. You could try and convince the rest of the family to stay off-site but there is nothing like the service and attention you get from the Disney Resort. I would stay nowhere else when going to Disney World! |

| Senior Member | $300 per night for the holiday period is normal depending on which of the many resorts you stay at. $300 for the All Star is not a great deal however at Coronado or Animal Kingdom Lodge..it is excellent. Staying on property offers several amenities not offered to outsiders... 1., You get free use of all Disney transportation (boats, monorail, buses, etc) 2. You can use the Magical Express transportation to and from the airport with baggage check-in at the resort.. 3. You get free parking and access to all Disney property if you have a private car 4, You have early access and late stay options at one or more theme parks daily 5. Large rooms with refrigerators and other amenties 6. Pool hopping between resorts (with restrictions) 7. Priority dining reservations 8. No commute from outside the resort.... Just a few thoughts off the top of my head. :-)
