| Florida has a long history and a love for lighthouses many from the Civil War era. I've had the opportunity to visit the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and made my way to the top. What a view! The lighthouse was built in 1853 and is the oldest in Palm Beach County. Has anyone visited any other lighthouses in Florida?

| I've been to Ponce de Leon Inlet Lighthouse located in the Daytona area, which is beautiful. The lighthouse is still working and the museum is maintained very well and has some really interesting pieces of history. They also have a building where the fresnal lenses are displayed and I have to say that is my favorite. |

| I love the lighthouses in Florida particularly Dry Tortugas light on Loggerhead Key and Ponce de Leon light, which are the two tallest lighthouses in the United States. For the most part the lighthouses in Florida are great tourist attractions and I am glad that our local governments keep them open to the public and allow them to climb to the top for great views. |

| I think lighthouses are fascinating. So much history. The St. Augustine Lighthouse is supposedly haunted and a favorite location for ghost hunters!

| I've been to several lighthouse there in Florida when I road tripped the east coast from Florida to Maine stopping along the way to visit lighthouses. We visited St. Augustine Lighthouse which is apparently haunted by several ghosts...though as expected we didn't encounter any(lol) |
