| The coasts of Florida are truly beautiful with white sands stretching for more than 1110 miles. With colorful creatures, warm water and sunshine; the beaches are Florida's finest attraction. Florida's beaches are as diverse as they are beautiful. From the jewel-green waters of northwest Florida to the coral-dotted lagoons of the Keys. Beaches throughout Florida are constantly rated as some of the best beaches in the United States. Luckily no matter where you are in Florida, The beaches are easy to get to as you are never more than 60 miles from the beach. In the Northwest of Florida, the water is a stunning clear green and the sand is as snow-white. These beaches are the most popular in the Spring and Summer when the sun is at its brightest. This beautiful stretch of sands begins in the west at Perdido Key and Pensacola Beach, extending along the Gulf of Mexico to Navarre Beach/Destin/Fort Walton Beach, the Beaches of South Walton, Panama City Beach, Cape San Blas and St. George Island. In north central Florida the coastline is named the Big Bend .Here you will find a few secluded beach areas frequented mostly by locals. Scenic spots include Lighthouse Point, Alligator Point, Shell Point and Keaton Beach). A bit further south, a few pristine beaches, accessible only by boat, are found within the Cedar Keys National Wildlife Refuge. Definitely worth checking out if you’re looking for somewhere less crowded. Into the Northeast there is St. Augustine's Anastasia Island. Here the beaches are loved by sailboarders and surfers. Around Amelia Island, there are plenty of family-friendly shorelines. Flagler Beach is a lovely, quiet, family beach spot. Once you reach the central east coast, you'll see plenty of surfers on every wave around Sebastian Inlet and Cocoa Beach. To the north, Canaveral National Seashore protects pristine beachfront for miles. Seclusion-lovers and sea turtles are the greatest fans of these dune-covered sands. New Smyrna Beach is more old fashioned and quiet where as the famous Daytona Beach is usually much more crowded and full of fun and activity. Florida's string of Gulf Coast barrier islands begins in central west Florida. Clearwater Beach and St. Pete Beach attract a younger crowd looking for busy beaches, fun and excitement. People looking more towards relaxation go to Dunedin's state-protected Honeymoon Island and Caladesi Island for a peaceful visit with nature. The islands continue along the Southwest coast with Anna Maria Island, down through Siesta Key to golden Venice Beach, energetic Fort Myers Beach, Sanibel Island, Captiva Island, Naples and Marco Island Southeast Florida is home beaches of the Keys, Miami Beach and Fort Lauderdale. As you move up the coast, you will find several beaches surrounding the busier cities, like Palm Beach. If you are a fan of a beach holiday with sun, sea and white sands a plenty, Florida seems to have everything you could want on offer. Whether you prefer a quieter secluded beach to a busier more fun filled time there are so many Florida Beaches there will more certainly be on which will cater to your individual taste.
