We own a week in another part of the country, but are trading to go to the Orlando area in April. I have heard that some communities are much nicer, some are shabby, some are not near enough to things. I would appreciate any info on experiences with specific communities to choose as I will be making my plans in the next few weeks. Thanks!

Well, you might not want to waste the week while staying in Orlando. There has been an over supply of hotel rooms, and we have gotten some really good deals. We have been able to get rooms for $29 a night, at a Holiday Style (clean, but not a resort). They are fine and you get a lot of choices off International Drive. If your timeshare is close to everything, then ok.

The Westgate Chain is probably the biggest most up-to-date community ATM. They have some nice 2 story 3-4 bedroom townhomes that have it all. Some models have spiral staircases, plasma screens, whirlpools, and private balconies.
