Toulouse or Paris

how does Toulouse's nightlife compare to that of Paris? I am trying to get an firm idea of Toulouse..is the nightlife any good? which one would you recommend, Paris or Toulouse?

I'd say that Toulouse nightlife is on a par with that of Paris, though I personally think that Toulouse has an edge over Paris because of Toulouse's rich heritage of art and culture, and its location in the south of France.

Toulouse has a relaxed and lively nightlife because of the large student population, so there are loads of different type of bars and discos.

Most of the action happens around Place du Capitole, Place Wilson and along the main boulevards. Place St Georges and Place St Pierre are also good areas to wander around in search of fun.

Having lived in Paris for 2 years and been to visit friends in Toulouse on several occasions, this is a tricky one to pick. I think it depends on what you're after: if it's bars and discos than I think the two are on par or Toulouse maybe a little better because everything is closer. If you're after a great meal, a visit to the theater/cinema and then clubbing, go to Paris.
