|  Train rides through French Alps We will be visiting France in May and would like to take a train trip through the mountains. We will be taking a train from Paris to somewhere in or close to the Alps and then would like to take a trip through the mountains. Is there such a thing? Thanks, John Fredericton, NB Canada |

| Re: Train rides through French Alps Trains are quite scarce but certainly do exist in the Alps. There is a train that runs from Saint Gervais les Bains, up through the Chamonix Valley and over to Martigny in Switzerland. The journey has truly breath-taking views. |
