France Great food and wine are just some of what France has in store. Prior to 1930, the Eiffel Tower stood as the tallest structure in the world and is the icon of Paris. Housing some of the most spectacular works of art is the Louvre with over 35,000 pieces. For more culture visit the Palace of Versailles but for outdoor activities, every July the Tour de France runs through the country.

Located in a typical mid-1700s apartment building, this 45 square meter (approx. 500 square feet) one bedroom flat is bright, functional with new designer kitchen and bathroom areas. The apartment building is in Huchette street, a small animated pedestrian street in the heart of the Latin Quarter, one of the oldest districts of central Paris. This is a 4th floor apartment, without elevator (the stairwell is not difficult. Despite being in a lively central area, the apartment is high enough from street level and includes double gazed windows, as well as bedroom on the courtyard side : this is a quiet apartment. From the apartment's front door, you walk into a small entryway with storage areas for clothing. The entry leads directly to the bathroom area on the left and straight ahead into the large kitchen-living area that looks out onto the street. The bathroom is newly redone by interior architects and designers, is spacious, with a double sink, a washing machine, a very walk in a very large shower area a separate colorful toilet room. The living area includes a brand new sleeper sofa bed (good quality; can sleep 2 persons) and two large iron made armchairs, a good size table, a plasma TV mounted to the wall. Wooden floors in the living room with Afghan rug, shelving with books, a computer with high speed internet access and free local phone and a brand new DVD/home cinema. Directly off the living area is a new designer kitchen area, equipped with a full oven, large fridge, dish washer, 3 electric burners, plenty of counterspace and cupboards, a built-in microwave, an italian coffee maker and a counter top table area with high chairs to sit and eat for 4 persons. The apartment is located in the heart of the Latin Quarter, and is a two minute walk from the Place Saint Michel and the Seine river. The closest metro station, a 3 minute walk from the apartment, is the Saint Michel metro stop, which also has direct RER train access to the airports and also to the Gare du Nord train station. The Seine river and Notre Dame Cathedral can be reached on foot in 5 minutes and Boulevard Saint Germain is also only a couple minutes walk from the apartment. Many restaurants and cafes in this lively area; and local shopping for groceries is easy to find in the immediate neighborhood. 150EUR/day Send a mail to FlatHuchette@gmail.com. We will be happy to answer. A bientot...a Paris

I think 150EUR/day is very expensive for a small flat, that's more than 200$ per night! you'll find your own property in france for about 400EUR per month or a room in a shared flat for about 300EUR a month in Paris. The Latin Quarter is nice but i'll take a three star hotel for 80EUR for two people per night (breakfast included) there...

You sounds like somebody who hasn't lived long enough in Paris... You can indeed find a place for 300EUR / month... in the suburbs or in a shared 20m2 flat but... is it really what we want? I live aborad and travel all around the world. I am right now in Moscow... Whow.. $320/night for a 25m2! I redid, equiped and prepared the flat as if I was living there myself... Every agency who visited it was amazed by the level of detail and efforts we put in it... Take a night or two.. and you'll love it! Cheers! Sebastien...
