France

Great food and wine are just some of what France has in store. Prior to 1930, the Eiffel Tower stood as the tallest structure in the world and is the icon of Paris. Housing some of the most spectacular works of art is the Louvre with over 35,000 pieces. For more culture visit the Palace of Versailles but for outdoor activities, every July the Tour de France runs through the country.

Default Re: French geography

France is a nation of varied landscapes, ranging from coastal lowlands and broad plains in the north, to hilly uplands in south central France, to lush valleys and towering, snow-capped Alps in the east. Mountainous and hilly areas lie on nearly all of France’s borders, creating a series of natural boundaries for the country. Only the nation’s northeastern border is largely unprotected. Several major rivers drain France, including the Seine, Loire, Garonne, and Rhône.

Glacier d'Argentière is a glacier found in the Chamonix valley above the village of Argentière in Haute-Savoie département, south-eastern France.

Glacier des Bossons is one of the glaciers found in the Chamonix valley of Haute-Savoie département, south-eastern France. It is on the north-eastern side of the valley, close to the famous Aiguille du Midi.

The Mer de Glace (Sea of Ice) is a glacier located on the northern slopes of the Mont Blanc massif, in the Alps. At 7 kilometres long and 200 metres deep, it is the longest glacier in France

I hope this helps :)
