France

Great food and wine are just some of what France has in store. Prior to 1930, the Eiffel Tower stood as the tallest structure in the world and is the icon of Paris. Housing some of the most spectacular works of art is the Louvre with over 35,000 pieces. For more culture visit the Palace of Versailles but for outdoor activities, every July the Tour de France runs through the country.

Default Re: Great Wine Regions

The Bordeaux region is divided by two rivers, the Gironde and the Garonne, creating two zones.

On the West Side (You'll find great white wines and sweet wines):
Medoc - Known for Red wine...fine and elegant
Graves - Known for producing the most delicate wine...

On the East Side (You'll find great Fronsac and Canon-Fronsac -- Deep colored red wines):
Pomerol
St-Emilion - Considered the most robust wine of Bordeaux

As for the Burgundy Wine Region, you've got the following regions:

Cote de Nuits - You'll find great red wines like Chambertin, Morey-Saint Denis, and Chambolle-Musigney (The grapes found here Red: Pinot Noir, White: Chardonnay)

Cote de Beaune- You'll find Red and white wine here. (The grapes found here Red: Pinot Noir, White: Chardonnay)

Cote Chalonnaise - You'll find Red and white wine here. (The grapes found here Red: Pinot Noir, White: Chardonnay)

Maconnais - Previously known for its red wine but now largest producing area of white wine in Burgundy (The grapes found here Red: Pinot Noir and Gamay, White: Chardonnay)

Hope this helps. If you have anymore questions, just ask!
