| Georgia is great to visit during the summer but crowds are huge particularly during the summer school holidays when attractions will be jam-packed! I wouldn't say summer or any other season is a bad time to visit Georgia, but if you're planning to visit places like Atlanta, I would suggest visiting in spring and early fall to avoid the crowds. |

| I agree with Danny. Summer is an awesome time to visit Georgia, and that's why you'll see so many crowds if you choose to visit at that time. However, if you hit the seasons just right, you'll have great warm weather, plenty of things to do and see, and you won't have to hassle with the crowds. A couple of my favorite places to see in Georgia have been Atlanta, of course, Stone Mountain, the Blue Ridge Mountains in northern Georgia, where we often rent a cabin for the weekend, and the Barrier Islands in the south.

| Spring and fall are the best months when it comes to comfortable temperatures in Georgia. Summer can get sticky so keep that in mind when planning your day. If you're going to be in the Atlanta vicinity, Six Flags or Stone Mountain is a great way to spend the day. Head up to north Georgia - Blairsville, Young Harris, Helen, Blue Ridge - for scenic drives through winding mountain roads and hiking, fishing, camping, swimming, canoeing, and kayaking at numerous state parks. Lake Lanier in the Gainesville area is beautiful and ideal for boating and fishing. Alpine Helen in north GA is a major tourist destination but well worth the visit. Enjoy the city then venture out to the Unicoi State Park and Brasstown Bald overlook. Little St Simons on the east coast, romantic. Enjoy!
