|  2007 Watermelon Days Festival Anyone in the Georgia area? The 2007 Watermelon Days Festival is happening! It starts tomorrow in the Cordele and Crisp County. It's more than just watermelons. Everyday there's a different event and, of course, on the weekends it's a few more events. So here are some of the highlights planned and Watermelon Days Festival information. When: June 9 - July 4 Events: June 9 How Sweet It Is Photo contest Muchmelon Parade Old Fashion Quilting - Quilt Display June 15 A Night of Southern Gospel Music June 16 Kiwanis Fishing Rodeo SAM Shortline Excursion Train June 20 Downtown Tast of Melon with Phil June 21 Watermelon Golf Tournament Reading with the Watermelon Queens June 23 Watermelon Eating Contest Watermelon Chunking Contest July 4 Fireworks on The Flint Come out and enjoy it if you're in the area!!! |
