| Hi there, The most popular and therefore busiest time to visit Georgia is during the summer as it is school holidays so attractions such as the aquarium tend to get fairly busy. I would suggest traveling during the spring season and travel to Georgia in late April and May as it less busy and temperatures are much cooler. Another great way to experience Georgia is to stay at one of the campgrounds in the Appalachians and along the coast via an RV or trailer but be advised to book in advance if you intend to travel during peak season. Hope this helps Vacationbuddy

| Senior Member | I just returned today after 4 days in the Atlanta/Alpharetta, Georgia areas and drove to and from the area on Interstate 75 from Florida so I traveled nearly the entire vertical length of the state. The trees and flowers are in bloom and everything is starting to really green-up and the weather is perfect--moderate in day and cool at night and NO BUGS! So April-May and Oct-Nov would be my choice for best months to visit.

| This would depend on what it is you would like to do. Do you want to go swimming, visit the beach, visit the mountains, go to a large city, etc? If you want to go whitewater rafting, then head to the mountains during the summer. If you want to see the City Life, then going to Atlanta just about anytime would be good. If you want to see snow (and there is no guarantee you will), try to visit North Georgia anytime from late December to early March. North Georgia doesn't get a lot of snow, and when it does snow, it melts quickly. If you want to see GA during the spring with the beautiful flowering trees & flowers, then visit April & May. Of course, leaf changing season is from mid-October to the 1st - 2nd week in November. There are a lot of fall festivals, apples orchards, and pumpkin picking from the end of September and through October. |
