Hey all! We are planning on going back to Germany again! We are going for OktoberFest! We would like to know the cheapest time to buy tickets for that time of the year, even though it's going to be expensive. When is the best and cheapest time to buy em?

hi, Oktoberfest is one of the biggest events in Germany and most people plan a trip here a year in advance, mainly because you get cheaper hotel prices and you can choose a hotel or hostel closed to the Oktoberfest in advance. The best thing you can do now, it's to look for last minute Oktoberfest vacation packages or Oktoberfest tours to see what suits you best. Have fun!

Well, it might not be too late to buy Oktoberfest tickets. The festival is still going on, until Oct. 3, this year. The crowds might have snapped up tickets for the early days, so there's still tickets available. This could be true of the hotels, too. But I'm not sure, just going on gut instinct here.

Oktoberfest is awesome, but you really have to plan in advance because if you are trying to book a room in Munich during Octoberfest, you are going to be paying at least 3 times that you would normally. In terms of location, the Courtyard is two stations away on the underground to the Oktoberfest fairground, though there two Marriott hotels not that much farther away as well. Also, folks need to be aware of buying tent tickets in advance and avoiding coming during the weekend since the tents are usually closed to people without reservations.
