Germany

Germany has rich culture tradition and beautiful landscapes. The famous Oktoberfest can be experienced starting in September through October. For those traveling in the Christmas season, be sure to stop by Kris Kringle Mart. Only hours away from Munich are resorts in Germany and ski areas are best found at the Bavarian Alps.

Smile Re: Germany forum is now open!

My husband and I will be traveling to Germany in October for 10 days to visit our sons (one will be studying in Regensburg) the other is actually a German exchange student who lived with us last year and has become one of our own (he lives in Stuttgart). We will be flying into Stuttgart and staying a few days then traveling on to Regensburg, then to Nuernburg (where we lived for 1 1/2 years), then to Rothenburg and back to Stuttgart. A lot of traveling in 10 days. My question is the what is best way to find hotels or should we consider Bed and Breakfast. I think we will travel by train between cities but not sure if we need to purchase a rail pass or pay as we go. It's been a while since we have been over there and am kinda of nervous. I would like to have everything in place before I leave. Any suggestions?

Default Re: Germany Travel Advice

You may look into the Destination360 guide on Germany as they've listed a few suggestions for each city.
