planning to go to Sylt

hi, what's Sylt like for a beach vacation, and is it busy during the summer season? also, what is there to do there in terms of activities, etc? thank you

I visited Sylt on a day trip from Elbe and got a good impression of the island. Sylt is very up scale, a bit like the French Riviera, so if you travel during the summer, you will find it tricky to get affordable accommodation

If I was you, I'd consider planning a trip to Sylt in the late spring months, before tourism season starts. Of course, the climate is cooler this time of year, but you’ll be able to avoid the crowds, which are huge, believe me!

By the way, the best way to get to Sylt Germany is to fly into Hamburg and then take the train over the Hindenburgdamm, which takes about three hours.
