| Germany Germany has rich culture tradition and beautiful landscapes. The famous Oktoberfest can be experienced starting in September through October. For those traveling in the Christmas season, be sure to stop by Kris Kringle Mart. Only hours away from Munich are resorts in Germany and ski areas are best found at the Bavarian Alps. |

| So I have been looking at maps of Germany and trying to figure out where to spend the two days that my friend and I will have on our trip to Venice/Switzerland/Germany and then on to Amsterdam. We will start in Venice and then take train north for few days in Switzerland and then train up to Germany for few days and then on by train for 3 days in Amsterdam. We would like to take a Rhine River cruise somewhere in the vicinity of where the castles are but would also like to stay in the Black Forest somewhere or at least close enough to where we could make a day trip there. Is there a central location we could stay where both things would be possible in a 2-3 day period? I have been through Germany once on a tour in 2000 but cannot really recall exactly where the Rhine River is in realationship to the Black Forest. Can anyone help? |
