For those traveling in the Christmas season, be sure to stop by Kris Kringle Mart. Only hours away from Munich are resorts in Germany and ski areas are best found at the Bavarian Alps.
It depends on where you are going in Germany. I love the munich area.. and if I had my way - would go there every year for vacation! LOL
Maybe a trip to see King Ludwigs castles.. sorry - name slips my mind right now.. but I do know my inlaws are going on that tour and hare excited about it.
Now - my husband, on the other hand, insists on a "gore" day.. it usually turns out to be a day of great learning. In Munich we went on a third Reighk (SP - Sorry) tour and the tour of Daucau. I strongly recomend that.. It really got to my heart and soul.

Absolutely! It is one of the trips I would very much like to make sometime, albeit that the name is a bit of a tongue-twister ;-) I think that Neuschwanstein Castle is an absolute must-see, although there is a vast amount of other Bavarian castles also.
