Germany

Germany has rich culture tradition and beautiful landscapes. The famous Oktoberfest can be experienced starting in September through October. For those traveling in the Christmas season, be sure to stop by Kris Kringle Mart. Only hours away from Munich are resorts in Germany and ski areas are best found at the Bavarian Alps.

You're very lucky to be going there, I haven't been personally but I hope to at least for a weekend break. My sister went this winter, she as well as everyone else I know who went to Prague said they very much loved that place. It is very vibrant with plenty to do. It has more castles than any other city. Most of the city is still there from hundreds of years ago. My sister went to the Munich City Museum and she said it had an eclectic collection of stuff. It has models of what Munich used to look like, and photographs showing the damage to Munich and the reconstruction. On another floor they had marionettes and puppets. I am planning for a three day trip and everyone suggested me to get Prague Card which will allow me to visit up to 40 top attractions in the city, including the Prague Castle. So I am very eager to wait for the moment. You can also get that card and visit the attractions. Have an enjoyable trip!

Hi,
Its nice place and you’ll love it. I would advise to book hotel near underground station. Even if you’ll find an accommodation not at the city center, which is much cheaper, you’ll reach the heart of the city very quickly. For me I prefer the Green line of the underground, because it’s going directly to New and Old town. You can find all maps at Maprague web site . Beside at Staromestska station you can found a mMoney change with a fare rates with really no commission, which is not easy to find in Prague. Be careful, because at lot of places they take commission, although they write they don’t. If you are going to visit the famous Black Theater, ensure you’re going to the real one, they have about 15 black theaters, but the original is only one. Let me know if you need any further information
