|  From Frankfurt Airport Greetings... having a bit of trouble here, can anyone shed some light? I'll be taking a trip to Germany in January, and will be flying in to Frankfurt. I'm going to a small town on the Main river, and I can't seem to find clear information on how to get there. It's a wine town, called Klingenberg, and I'd like to find a smooth way to go... bus/train...if it all possible, I'd want to avoid taxis. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks so much! -C |

|  Re: From Frankfurt Airport You can get a train from Frankfurt Hbf (Main) to To: Klingenberg (Main). Select an RE connection as they all take just 1:10hrs but RE is a direct connection (no changes) and is significantly cheaper than a connection that contains a local train and an InterCity or ICE. | Re: From Frankfurt Airport That train you need to catch is from Frankfurt city in the main station Hbf not from the airport. When you arrive at the airport you can catch a S8 or S9 to Frankfurt Hbf (main station)? It's about a 15min trip from the (Regionalbahnhof) at the airport to Frankfurt Hbf (main station). There are 2 stations in FRA-Frankfurt International airport. The Fernbahnhof (long distance trains) and the Regionalbahnhof which is the one you need. It is well marked just follow the signs. Check with the DB timetable for connections directly from Frankfurt Airport. Click here DB timetable for connections directly from Frankfurt Airport. | From Frankfurt Airport Hi, My wife will be in Frankfurt airport for about 6 hours on a short layover. Is it worth it to travel to Frankfurt city for a few hours? Which destination in the city would be best for her? She loves to walk. Is the train or bus the best? About how much does each cost? She's a very seasoned traveler and very resourceful. Beautiful, too! LOL Thanks for your help. |
