Hi there,

There are many tour operators offering Oktoberfest tours at different prices but the best ones out there include the coach transfer to the festival and back. Tour prices are in the range of 300EUR ($400).

Most tour operators offer five or seven day tours, that include return coach or ferry, accommodation, breakfasts and transfers to Oktoberfest.

You should make your hotel reservation as soon as possible as the cheapest and closest hotels get filled up quickly. These are a couple of recommendations:

* The Hotel Bavaria which is not far from the main grounds of Theresienwiese.
* The Bayernland Hotel which is similarly located.
* The Hotel Einhorn, which is not far from the festival and offer good rates.

Be well-advised to book seats with the individual tents as most of them will fill up very quickly each day specially at night where it might be hard to get a spot.

Hope this helps

Hi samanthapost,

The obvious suggestion is to book everything asap, because Oktoberfest is extremely hard to organise something to the longer you wait. there are over 6 million people that visit within 2 weeks, so accomodation is at a premium there.

Here are some great tips / guide etc you may find useful:

Oktoberfest Survival guide: http://www.oktoberfestpubcrawl.com/ (scroll right down, it's a PDF - their "history" bit is hilarious)

Oktoberfest A-z guide: http://tntonline.co.uk/travel/destin...Festy-fun.aspx

The TNT site also has heaps of other great tips, and then there's the main Oktoberfest site at www.oktoberfest.de (you can also get info on tent reservations there).

Have fun!

I strongly sugget that you book early because Oktoberfest is very popular and the spots available are limited and will most likely get occupied very soon. Personally, I wouldn't go but thats just me...

Wow! That many? I cannot fathom how crowded a place with six million people all at once would be! I even got so exhausted attending, rubbing shoulders, and worming myself in with only two million people for a street festival once!
