Beaches in Germany

hallo,

I was looking for info on beaches in Germany before we're planning a trip there? Does anyone popular beach spots?

hi there,

If you are planning a trip to one of the beaches in Germany, be aware topless sunbathing is fairly common, although nude beaches in Germany tend to be marked by signs. For instance, Sylt is known for its nude beaches as well as spectacular bike trails.

Another popular spot are the Frisian Islands which feature German beaches and resorts.

Then, there is the Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania area where you can find white sandy beaches and affordable accommodation such as in Lübeck, filled with seaside resorts dotting the coast of the Baltic.

There are also plenty of lakes in Germany with sandy beaches, especially in Bavaria and Baden-Wurttemberg. Many cities also have beach-areas in summer alongside rivers, etc.
