|  Greece in January Where to go Hey there, I'm beginning a backpacking trip and am planning on being in Greece for the month of January. Any ideas on where I should go? I am having trouble getting information about where to go during the off-season and I'd like to go somewhere where weather is not too cold but there are things to see and do, and I will be staying in hostels. Any ideas? Thanks guys!!! Happy Travels. |

 |  Re: Greece in January Where to go You might be limited on options if you stick to the mainland (vs. jumping to some of the islands), I just returned from 6 stops in Greece-- Corfu Mykonos Rhodes Katakolon and Olympia Athens (2nd time there) Santorini (2nd time there) All were wonderful and I especially liked Mykonos at least for summer months. I would definitely fit it Olympia on your trek. It was a nice surprise and quite rural. Also, Rhodes was a pleasant surprise also. The further north you get of course, the colder it will get.
