|  Hawaii Wedding Facts Hawaii tops honeymooner's list of where to wed According to MacNair Travel & Cruises/American Express: Monday is the most popular departure day, and five to seven days is the typical length of a honeymoon. August is the top travel month for honeymooners. The budget range is anywhere from $3,000 to $5,000. The Travel Institute says honeymoons are an $8 billion industry and the average honeymoon costs $3,719, that's 300% more than the US vacation average.
