Maui Blow Hole Warning

The Nakalele Blow Hole is a popular tourist attraction in Maui; water has worn away the sea floor beneath the lava shelf, and waves crashing into the lava force water through the blowhole, creating a geyser-like effect with water shooting up to 100 feet in the air.

It's a great sight to see, but it's essential to stay safe and follow any Maui blow hole warning suggestions when you visit. On Saturday afternoon, tourists saw a man who had been dancing in the spray close to the edge of the hole get pushed into the blow hole by a wave before being sucked out to sea; the search for the man was called off Monday.

It's a tragic death but the man ignored "signs that warn visitors to stay at least 20 yards away,". This is a tragedy but seriously, when are people going to realize their actions have consequences? I'm tired of people blaming others for either their own or someone else's negligence. People should use common sense and take precautions.

Oh goodness. I guess you should be careful. It sounds like you need a camera with a good zoom feature.
